A daily glimpse of our neat little tar heel town.
Funny to think of a free-standing post office in a 1840 rural community. From TV we expect to it tucked in the corner of the general store.
As a matter of fact, the opposite end served as a bar. The left side looking at it from this view was a livery stable. This might have been for the stage coach which stopped in the community up until the war between the states.
I love old building shots like these ... soon they will all be gone.
